Sit With: Harvesting Fall Equinox

In this episode we celebrate the shift in light and season, and honor the Fall Equinox. We start with a balancing alternate nostril breath practice and then contemplate what we are harvesting in our lives right now.

Alternate Nostril Breath Practice

Nadi Shodhana Pranayama, or alternate nostril breath practice is exactly what is sounds like. You will alternate breathing in/out through one nostril at a time. Start by finding a comfortable seat. Take your right hand and fold your two peace fingers (index and middle) down. Place your thumb on your right nostril and breath in through the left side. Seal the left side with your ring finger and breath out your right side. Breath in through your right. Seal the right and breath out your left. Repeat 3-5 rounds.

I am a harvest moon
the changing of colors
the reaping of seeds sown
I do not fear the cold winds
or the passing of warmth
It is in this season
I will be transformed
