Sit With: Persistence

In this episode, we ground in simplicity. Meditation is simple, and yet it takes a practice of persistence. Today we focus the attention at the tip of nose and observe thoughts that take us away from the present moment. It is through persistent practice that we build the muscles of our psyche so we can access more awareness and creativity in our daily lives.

We tend to think of the artist’s work as the output. The real work of the artist is a way of being in the world.

Questions for Inquiry:

  1. As you focus on the breath, what thoughts arise?

  2. Are you able to let them go, reset, and bring the attention back to breath? This is the hard work! This is the practice of persistence.

  3. What daily rituals are helping you develop the habit of awareness? How is this supporting your creativity?
