*Some families have chosen to add on academic sessions. I specialize in conceptual math development, word work, and reading comprehension. These are group sessions, typically ranging from 2-5 children, and meet once a week.
The Science Supporting Spirit Development
Someone or something guided you to the offerings of Spirit Wellness and something feels good about the idea of sustaining a practice of yoga, meditation, and spirituality. That “something” often referred to as your intuition or “gut feeling” is the inner wisdom or the divine teacher that lives in each and everyone of us.
More and more research is being done on the science and significance of yoga, meditation, and spirituality and I would HIGHLY recommend reading The Spiritual Child: The New Science on Parenting for Health and Lifelong Thriving by Lisa Miller, PH.D.
In her new book, she explains the clear, scientific link between spirituality and health and shows that children who have a positive, active relationship to spirituality:
Are 40% less likely to use and abuse substances
Are 60% less likely to be depressed as teenagers
Are 80% less likely to have dangerous or unprotected sex
Have significantly more positive markers for thriving including an increased sense of meaning and purpose, and high levels of academic success

My name is Meredith Holt and Spirit Wellness is my gift to you! I’ve spent many years studying and teaching elementary education and yoga, and am beyond excited to finally combine everything I KNOW into powerful bundles of Spirit Wellness offerings.
As a young child, I remember hearing my teachers tell my parents how shy I was and how they wanted to see me “break out of my shell.” I began to identify as the quiet student or kid that people did not expect much from. I felt nervous at school and in large groups because I thought I needed to play the character description someone else had written for me. But even as small person, I KNEW I was meant for more and that there was some other story and life plan that I was meant to live out. I had a desire to connect with the world and the people around me, to do great things, and to feel confident and wonderful while doing it.
Through many years of yoga and meditation I developed a calm AND powerful presence and I now feel more connected to my most authentic self and live a wildly passionate AND composed life.
